seo summary stuff

seo body stuff starts

Version 3
This is really what you are already doing with adding the embed directly into the article.  I just made it a bit simpler.  I created a button- go into the publish form for the seocola (note- this button displays regardless of which weblog you are publishing in).

Now, just click the ‘g-lft’ button and the code for the embed will automatically be inserted.  We could add to buttons- one for lft justified and one for right justified.  We’ll just create two templates for the ads, one where things are right justified, the other left justified- the buttons insert a different embed depending on which you click.

There are issues with this method- namely it means you’d be using the same template for all of your google ads, regardless of which weblog you are posting to.  You’ll probably want them formated differently as to colors and such (and maybe the ads displayed- I don’t know much about how adsense works) depending on the weblog.

Now I think I can address this with some php- for example, serve up different ads using ‘ifs’ based on the url.  I haven’t tried that one, but I think it’s doable.

Um- anyway, before I go forward, I need to pin down exactly how you want me to do the google bits, so I don’t have to go back and change everything out.  So…

Do you want the google ads set in the templates themselves- as it’s done in version 1 and 2?  If so, which do you want me to go with- I wouldn’t do both.

Do you want me to keep the google ad calls OUT of the templates and concentrate on adding them via the publish form and the use of embeds there.

Just let me know which you want- or I can do 1 or 2 in combination with 3.  Just want to clarify before I go through and finalize all of the templates.
